Where The Sirens Sing

Raging empires with reigning kings
In the land and sea where the sirens sing
Might of Ulysses; the one who is grim
A tale of turbulence with a gust of wind.
The song of sirens was his utmost desire
But this battle was harder than tackling a fire
In the sweet mist of sea, amidst the sirens’ reservoir
Comes a tune so fruitful yet so fatally dire.
But what was the mystery of this siren’s hex?
As legend goes, they were near shipwrecks
Cause their melody was mystic and took over the best
Of sailors that jumped from their own ship decks.
But Ulysses wasn’t one to return empty-handed
Even in wars being the last man standing
So he devised a plan to hear his beloved sirens
But not one to fail like a victor's triumph.
So he poured wax in ears of sailors, so they never would hear
And tied himself to the mast, cause he knew his end was here
And ordered his servants to let him be, lest they face their fear
And Ulysses traveled the sea, approaching near and near.
At last, he heard the cries and his mind was struck dumb
One for his fate and the other for being the one
But the ropes came undone with the stroke of the sun
As his legs trembled the plank, the curse had just begun.
