Vermont

Listen forth to a tale of deception and curse
Of the devil in Vermont where he sat unjudged
And witnessed the people who prayed and purged
But his scheme was unhinged not to say too much
And the devil pitched dreams to sell as trust
In exchange for souls, a bargain for lust
Of the people of town who killed and splurged
Turned ashes to ashes and dust to dust
With the fathers in bags and mothers in cuffs
And the kids play alone like they've never been loved
In the town of Vermont which has never been touched
By the hand of God cause its never enough
With treason in sleep to just call their bluffs
And the devil grew deep like elephant tusks
Men drowned in their blood in smell of the musk
But the town grew cold by end of its dusk.
