Rosemary's Daughter

Rosemary's daughter had a tunnel in her shed
With each passing day, she felt its dread
Voices and whispers from someone ahead
Daring to be alive, scaring her to death.
And each passing dawn, her farm gets smaller
Goats, cows and dogs with no collar
Carcasses ahead with heaps of slaughter
Slowly inching towards Rosemary's daughter.
All the townsfolks, oblivious to her despair
Citing lunacy, every concern goes nowhere
A girl crying wolf even when it's actually there
Drifting from reality, tormented beyond repair.
Rosemary's daughter never knew what it was
Claw strikes and bite marks, all just because
Blood spatters like rain, a mere faux pas
Her own horror flick, a monster without a cause.
Trapped in her own mind, shadows began to creak
Screaming her name is a voice so bleak
Insanity took hold, a town-wide freak
Rosemary's Daughter never dared to speak.
Years went by, she was now all alone
Her farm disappeared, her plants overgrown
Head in her lap, by the corner she was stoned Rosemary's daughter, in the tunnel she was thrown.
