Times are changing, allegiances waving,
The brave are gone but the regencies gaining
And I ain't no renegade but I've been afraid
Revolution's only to litigate
But on the inside, nothing but an illegal trait.
"Snitch, Snitch, Snitch" all you would get
But in a town this bent, you would certainly be dead
Cause till the news of your betrayal reaches the county
Your peers in crimes out here taking the bounty
Either your head or your tail, a rat's worth both
Either in jail or on bail, a rat's still dirt
This might go over your heads, call it a guillotine blade
But the odds are against, like mismatched spades (cutthroat).
A scenario is better than any explanation
So here is a tale of a rodent on probation
Take it from beginning, man had a group of friends
All of them dirty in the most literal sense
But only one of them caught in the act of steal
And in his interrogation, he was really a big deal
Now he had a choice, call his lawyer and stay quiet
Or reveal all involved and be free from trial
Guess what? He snitched and was set free
But it wasn't long enough, he was flat on the street
What happened was that his folks knew he ratted
And a car pulled by as the shots had him splattered
Cause the blood ran cold but the mind was staggered.
See I'm a poet to some, but it's a matter of taste
From the preacher of love to the monger of hate
If it's as bad as say, then really radically
My intentions were always to renegade and battle away
And not to be a better-than veteran of the game of tethering
In the nation that's sovereign and the patience that's hovering
This is the leverage and with it I renegade
And blow it all away as I detonate.
