Iblis

O people of mankind
Listen forth
The tale of vanity
With hell as an abode
Iblis was his name
And his might was infamous
The greatest of djinn
A being of smokeless fire, miraculous
And none was as faithful
As devout as he
But there was one fatal flaw
That destroyed his destiny
At the creation of mankind
The Almighty said to Alamin
Prostate to Adam
If you wish to retain mercy
All bent down at will
With their sincerest regards
Except for one upright still
Refused the command of one above all
It was Iblis who dared to defy
With his ego and vanity coming to pry
How can a fire being
Be inferior to that made of mud
But his reasoning was his undoing
For Adam was the best of creations
And it is so if god willed
And Iblis was cast out of heaven
As hell was where he's reviled
But Iblis played his final card
And asked for a reprieve
As he dared to lead every being astray
Until the day of judgment reveals
God gave him respite
And postponed his eternal doom
And he became the devil of mankind
Vowing to ensure vengeance
By deceiving all the wavering minds
And he was true to his words
As he begins his journey of destruction
Threw Adam out of heaven
And killed one of his sons
Destroyed the people of Nuh
Along with Ad and Thamud
Creating idols and spreading fornication
To the minds of aged and youth
And seek shelter from his wrath
Stay true to your belief
Praying to the one God alone
Who can vanquish this enemy
For the devil only whispers
And his footsteps are seen
Your faith is much stronger
No need to struggle with your belief.
