I perform in front of a thousand strangers,

I've not a care.

I perform in front of friends,

You see me in despair.

I stand on a stand with a mic,

I've not a care.

I stand in a cafe with a few eyes,

You see me in despair.

If I never see you again,

I've not a care.

If I know I'll see you again,

You see me in despair.
