Hiatus

If day succumbs to night
And dusk overpowers dawn
A permanent hiatus to your soul
An eternity spent in agony
By the mercy, comes day reborn
With your faith resurrected
Eternal shine is blindness
Eternal darkness is death
A hiatus deserving of all men
Words of a poet deconsecrated
A hiatus to the ink spilt in slumber
Writing its piece another morning
Much better and wiser, yet alone.
